Lux & Lax Housing was founded in 2022 by college best friends, Kynnee Golder and Sanjay Monroe, who met while pursuing their Bachelor of Science degrees at North Carolina A&T. Their shared journey began long before their college years, as both grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where they experienced firsthand the challenges of poor housing conditions and struggling neighborhoods. Those early experiences shaped their understanding of the critical role of how safe, quality housing plays in building strong communities.
